AMSPORT Case Study
AMSPORT is a high-quality supplement company based in
Germany. They produce performance supplements for elite athletes and work with
many national teams and gym chains.
They wanted to start selling online both in Germany and
internationally, as the online sales were not a focused area for them. A lot of
the success in selling to Elite Athletes was achieved by the fact the founder
was a famous Elite Swimmer in Germany, but this did not resonate with the
online greater audiences. We were henceforth asked to formulate a plan to move
the products online.
Initially we had to work with AMSPORT to understand products
and the ethos of the company. The company was setup by an elite athlete for
elite athletes so everything about the company was to try and gain that extra
edge over the competition or in a work excellence. We started to build a story
and a new branding ethos around the quality and performance merits of the
products being produced. The AMSPORT products were better in terms of gains than
most of the competition on the market, but this came at a premium, so this had
to be the core of the proposition.



and developed a mobile application which worked to help an athlete take the right products based on their custom training needs.

In addition, we worked with AMSPORT to increase the profile of the products through a multitude of initiatives and get some well needed PR.
These included:
We became the official partner of protein for the movie ‘Pain and Gain’ with Dwayne Johnson and Mark Wahlberg

We designed a clothing range for the gym and for sponsored athletes to wear such apparel, so that the products would be on display in the place of use so to speak. It also helped in uptake from gyms to sell our products.
We brought the products in to Liverpool FC and formed a strong partnership there which increased sales dramatically.

We also partnered with England Netball, GB Canoeing and supplied players at Arsenal FC and West Ham. Subsequently we also launched the direct sales site with AMSport by setting up and managing the marketing of various on-line platforms and increasing our online sales. This meant creating various offers and marketing funnels to raise awareness of the brand and generate online sales.
